Employment and Inclusion
We aim to be a diverse and inclusive workplace where all our employees have equal opportunities to contribute and realise their potential. This is part of Statkraft’s values and ethical foundation.
Diversity and inclusion in the workplace
In transitioning to a more sustainable world powered by renewable energy, we believe that a diverse and inclusive organisation is essential for solving complex problems, contributing to success and creating long-term value.
We proudly represent more than 80 nationalities. We have set targets for inclusion and gender equality with a focus on integrating diversity and inclusion in policies and processes and building D&I competence within the organisation. Initiatives include celebrating diversity days, offering cross-cultural awareness training, inclusive leadership training, and D&I dilemma trainings. Employee-led networks also aim to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace where minority voices are heard.
Country-specific initiatives complement global policies and efforts, aiming to improve work culture through greater equality, diversity, and inclusion. Monitoring employee perception over time through annual surveys helps understand performance and areas for improvement. Training and awareness programs are in place to prevent discrimination and ensure employees feel respected, valued, and a sense of belonging.
We have set a target of gender balance (minimum 40%) across the organisation by 2030, measured at three levels: top management, all management positions, and all employees. Currently, there is a 30/70 gender balance, and efforts to attract, recruit, develop, and retain diverse talent are ongoing.
